Happy Birthday Zachary

On March 7th Zachary turned four. I can't believe that our 'baby' is four already. We started the day by going to Krispy Kreme to watch the doughnuts be made. I was surprised that Zachary didn't want to watch more; all he wanted to do was EAT the doughnuts. Now that is my boy! After our bellies were full of way too much sugar we headed back home to get our fill with more sugar. Well, first Zachary opened presents and then we had lunch and cake.

The following Saturday we had Zachary's birthday party. I had my heart set on a train party, but Zachary had HIS heart set on a soccer party, so soccer party it was. This year I decided to make Zachary's cake and to my surprise I might have found a hidden talent. The cake turned out great. We had fun celebrating Zachary's party with family and friends.

A store bought cake that we ate on his real birthday

Zachary testing out his new bike that Adam and I gave him.

It was rainy and cold on the day of his party so we had to hold the pinata up ourselves inside the house.

My first decorative cake.

Zachary looks so grown up

Opening presents.....YAY!!!

Love the self feeding stage!

What do you get when you give a ten month old a nutrigrain bar?

A big mess! I had a load of laundry to fold, so I gave Nicholas a nutrigrain bar for his morning snack. Lindsay came to me and told me that Nicholas had made a big mess. I was thinking that he had thrown his torn up pieces of nutrigrain bar all over the floor. Instead she was talking about Nicholas and the mess he had made of himself.

Fun in the...Snow

Virginia weather is so funny. Last Monday we got 7 in. of snow. That is huge for around here! We haven't gotten that much snow in such a long time. At first I did not want the snow to come. I had spent the last three weeks stuck in the house with sick kids and just wanted warmer weather to come and FAST. I have to admit though once I woke up and saw the ground covered, I was lovin it. Plus, Adam got to stay home and play with us in the snow. The most amazing part of this whole story is by Saturday it was almost 80 degrees outside. It was funny to run our errands in t-shirts but yet still see huge piles of snow in the parking lots. Gotta love VA. weather!
